The Nutrition Basics program is designed to empower you with the essential knowledge and tools you need to make healthier food choices and build a balanced diet. This program is suited to someone who may be feeling a little overwhelmed amongst all the confusing food marketing out there and is unsure where to start with healthy eating. Whether you are looking to improve your overall health, manage your weight, or simply feel better day-to-day, this program is your first step towards a healthier lifestyle. Cost: $150 Duration: 6 weeks with an option to extend This includes: 1x 90 minute initial consultation, plus 2x 30 minute in-person appointments held at fortnightly intervals. What the program covers: -An initial assessment to understand your specific goals, medical history, current lifestyle, dietary patterns, and preferences. -Understanding nutrition labels and gain knowledge and confidence in making healthy food choices in the grocery store, despite being surrounded by food marketing. -Understanding the Australian Dietary Guidelines and eating for health and/or chronic disease prevention. -Discussions around serving sizes, food groups, calories, macro- and micro-nutrients. -How to build a balanced plate -Fibre and the healthy gut -Water intake recommendations -Recommendations for discretionary food/drink intake. -How to apply the above principles in a practical way that works for you individually. This will become your individualised 'nutrition plan'. -For a limited time, you will receive a digital high protein recipe book, with carbohydrate options, complete with calorie and marco-nutrient breakdowns.
